Friends of all faiths are invited to visit a Latter-day Saint meetinghouse, to attend services there. (“Mormon” is actually a nickname that friends of other faiths have coined as a result of a scriptural record in our day, akin to The Bible, known as The Book of Mormon. The full designation for the Church is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and we preferred to be called, collectively, Latter-day Saints. But we understand the common use of the word “Mormon.”)
The video below gives a casual but helpful snapshot on our meetings, so that you’ll know what to expect. Then, to locate a meetinghouse near you (image below), please follow this Meetinghouse Finder link, and use the Back button to return to this site or page.
Mormons Made Simple Video: What to Expect at an LDS Meetinghouse, Service of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (inadvertently referred to by friends of other faiths as the “Mormon Church”; we prefer the full designation or the abbreviated form, “The Church of Jesus Christ.”)
