The Book of Mormon is a volume of holy scripture which gives an account of God’s dealings with the ancient inhabitants of the American continent. It was translated by the power of God through a living prophet. It contains the words of God given to ancient prophets, just as the Bible does. These prophets taught the people of the American continent the gospel of Jesus Christ, which is the only way to eternal life. One of the main events in The Book of Mormon gives an account of Jesus Christ’s visit to the Americas after His resurrection.
The Book of Mormon is more than just a history book. It is a book of healing and comfort–of guidance and direction that leads us to Jesus Christ–it is literally the word of God. Jesus Christ gave us The Book of Mormon to bring us closer to Him so that we can be happier. He gave us The Book of Mormon to help us right now–today. It helps us in our everyday lives. Although the words in it were given to us anciently, the words are just as valid and applicable in today’s world. God’s words are eternal and everlasting. Here are some of the many questions of the heart that The Book of Mormon can answer.
